Let’s face it. Since COVID hit, there haven’t been too many exciting movies coming out of Hollywood. In fact, any that do look decent are usually out of movie theatres and on streaming platforms within weeks.

Sure, a few have done well at the box office, such as Jurassic Park and Top Gun Maverick. But those are more like the exception.

During the Super Bowl this past Sunday, there were a LOT of trailers shown, and that is something we haven’t seen in the past three years. 2023 may finally mark the return of Hollywood’s return and the excitement of heading to the movie theatre to sit in a cozy chair with a bucket of popcorn for two to three hours.

Here are just a few of the trailers that played during the Super Bowl:

  • Fast X. Yes, the next Fast & Furious movie in the franchise will be coming out. It has many of the same cast members, with Vin Diesel taking the lead. A new addition to the cast is Jason Momoa.
  • Scream VI. The franchise that was popular in the 1990s is making a thriller comeback.
  • The Flash. This will be popular with DC Comics fans regardless. During the trailer, everyone rushed to their phones to confirm that Batman voice. Yes, Michael Keaton will be returning as the caped crusader.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Marvel wasn’t about to be left out, so they shared a trailer, too.
  • Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Harrison Ford is returning to the big screen as Indiana Jones.

There were a few other movies, too – but these are the ones that we’re particularly excited about. And with so many people looking forward to heading to the theatres this summer, it means you have to be prepared for lines once again. And pro tip: buy your ticket online a few days ahead so you don’t get disappointed on the day of the movie.
