Taylor Swift first made headlines when she announced her Eras tour. She practically broke the internet as everyone was in a frenzy to grab their tickets. Quickly, every tour stop sold out.
Now, as Swift is making her way across the country, fans are noticing something. There are “surprise” songs showing up at every stop of the tour.
Swift made the announcement on the opening night of the Eras tour that at every city, she’ll be performing two “surprise” songs. This isn’t even the most impressive part of the announcement, though. She is hoping not to repeat the selections, which is quite a feat considering there are 52 cities throughout the duration of the tour.
Glendale, Arizona saw two acoustic tunes – No. 36 and No. 37. “Our Song” and “Snow on the Beach” appeared in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Jump, Then Fall” and “The Lucky One” appeared in Arlington, Texas. And the list goes on and on. So far, Swift has been true to her word – not a single “surprise” song has been duplicated.
As everyone continues to compare the songs being played, it’s hard not to point out that fans are already receiving quite a treat, even if there were no added songs. Swift’s set list is 44 songs, quite exhausting and an impressive number in comparison to many of the bands touring – many that play about half of that.
Taylor Swift has been dropping albums left and right since she started her career, so we shouldn’t be surprised that she’s going as big as she is for this Eras tour.
