Charles Barkley rose to fame playing for the Philadelphia 76ers throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Then, he played for the Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets until he retired in 2000. But he never played for the Golden State Warriors. And it’s obvious because of the way that he constantly rags on the team.

TNT’s “Inside the NBA” is always a must-watch whenever Barkley and Draymond Green appear together. In case you don’t know, Green is both a sports analyst and a current Warriors star.

Since both of them were commentators for the recent 2023 NBA All-Star Game, they focused heavily on whether the Warriors could reach the NBA Finals for the 2022-23 season.

Barkley sat proudly when he said that the team was “cooked.”

Green was quick to say “That’s crazy.” He also pointed out that Barkley said the same thing about last season. He even mentioned that Barkley has said that the Warriors wouldn’t make it every single year since Green entered the league.

Barkley’s comeback was “That’s not true, but y’all are cooked now. Y’all are done.”

Perhaps, but as Green pointed out, the Warriors are still four NBA championships ahead of how Barkley ended his basketball career.

The Warriors do have some great odds – and not just because of what Green brings to the court. The team is strong because of other players’ assets, too – including Klay Thompson and Steph Curry.

Right now, we’re in a wait and see kind of position.
