Five people were murdered, and two children were wounded on Monday in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia. Don’t expect the media to provide breathless, ongoing coverage of this latest incident, though. Even though the shooting checks all the boxes that the Democrats love to harp on—it was a man in a bulletproof vest and carrying an AR-15—it turns out that the suspect is transgender.
The cops have arrested a 40-year-old biological man who calls himself Kimbrady Carriker. His Facebook page shows that in addition to crossdressing, Carriker is also a big supporter of Black Lives Matter.
So, he’s black and transgender. Which is why the media is already memory-holing the story.
Carriker started his shooting spree at about 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Police responded to reports of gunfire and cornered Carriker in an alleyway before he surrendered. You would think that all of the high-profile transgender mass shootings happening these days would make America pause for a moment and think about why this is happening.
With the transgender movement being the latest communist cause celebre of the American left, they’re popping up everywhere. And they’re dangerous.
Gender dysphoria has a lot in common with schizophrenia and Tourette’s syndrome. Celebrating mental illness the way that the country is doing right now is not an act of compassion. It gets people killed when these transgenders snap. We’re not trying to be cruel about this. It is simply true that transgender people commit shockingly high amounts of violence against innocents when compared to the general population.
They’re not normal, and they are not “born this way.” We owe it to our children and grandchildren to figure out why so many people are stricken with this illness and try to prevent it from spreading. It’s getting to the point where it’s no longer safe to walk the streets because of these people.
